Video Recap of our Via Ferrata activity in Póvoa de Lanhoso.
It was August 2024 and a group participants met in Póvoa de Lanhoso to explore this exciting via ferrata route. Located only a few minutes from the city of Braga, this route is short and beginner-friendly, with easy sections that allow newcomers to become familiar with the sport while more seasoned participants enjoy a relaxed climb. We started with an introduction to the equipment, guiding everyone on how to use it properly, along with some basic safety practices to ensure a smooth and enjoyable climb. This via ferrata allowed everyone to take their time and enjoy the scenery, while learning about safe techniques to carry forward.
The atmosphere grew lively as participants engaged with each other, building confidence and forming connections along the way. By the end, everyone felt a sense of accomplishment, from those new to the sport to the returning climbers, all appreciating the climb’s welcoming and accessible setup. Afterward, we headed to Braga, where the group celebrated their achievements over a delicious Francesinha, a perfect finish to an unforgettable day. This via ferrata proved to be a perfect introduction for those new to the sport, sparking a shared interest among all to explore more challenging routes in the future.
