In the heart of Slovakia’s breathtaking landscapes, a transformative journey unfolded as participants from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Romania, and Hungary gathered for a staff mobility focused on Safety and Emergency training in Via Ferrata. This adventure was not just a climb through mountainous terrains; it was a climb towards enhanced safety consciousness and emergency preparedness.
The foundation of safety begins with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies. The initial days were dedicated to comprehensive First Aid Training. Participants delved into life-saving techniques, from basic wound care to CPR, gaining practical skills that could make a significant difference in critical situations.
On the following days, participants delved into emergency self-rappelling on a rope, acquiring the ability to navigate descents with precision and control for a safe exit in challenging circumstances. Moreover, participants engaged in hands-on sessions, mastering ascending and descending on a cable rope using a Prusik loop. This skill not only enhances personal safety but also instills confidence in handling emergencies independently.
