Our Project

Picture a winter wonderland in Slovakia, with snow gently falling all around. This was the backdrop for the Pathways to Inclusion Youth Exchange, where 55 young people from Romania, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia, Czechia, and Lithuania came together for a week of adventure and learning from December 9th to 16th. The goal was to tackle the issue of exclusion through fun challenges and activities, exploring what tolerance really means. It was a week full of laughter, adventure, and lasting memories.

Throughout the exchange, participants explored the barriers that divide people geographical obstacles, marginalization, and societal labels and looked for ways to overcome them. They broke down stereotypes in fun and creative ways, like putting on plays that poked fun at common misconceptions. Whether imagining their ideal inclusive country or sharing their cultures through food, music, and dances, everyone connected on a deeper level, finding joy in their differences and building friendships along the way.

As the exchange came to an end, participants reflected on how much they had grown and the friendships they had made. The week ended with Youthpass certificates, recognizing their hard work and growth. It wasn’t just about learning it was about uniting hearts and making memories that would last a lifetime. Pathways to Inclusion became more than just an event; it was a life-changing experience that will stay with everyone who took part.
