WHAT IS A YOUTH EXCHANGE PROJECT?
Sounds too good to be true? Well it is true with Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges
OFFICIAL DEFINITION OF YOUTH EXCHANGE
Youth exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet and live together for up to 21 days. During a youth exchange, participants carry out a joint work programme (a mix of workshops, exercises, debates, roleplays, simulations, outdoor activities, etc.) that was designed and prepared by them before the exchange.

Youth exchanges help young people to:
- develop competences
- become aware of socially relevant topics/thematic areas
- discover new cultures, habits and life-styles, mainly through peer-learning
- strengthen values like solidarity, democracy, friendship, etc.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEANS:
- you travelling abroad with your friends and classmates (including fascinating locations as Azores or Madeira)
- meeting similar aged young people from various countries in Europe
- spending quality time together – learning, interacting, exchanging ideas for 10 days
- learning about interesting topic (marketing, game design, filmmaking) in non-formal way
- ALL expenses are covered (travel, food and accommodation)

A YOUTH EXCHANGE CONSISTS OF 3 STAGES:
