ERIK HALLAY

” Erasmus is a pause button for normal life.”

Yoo! My name is Erik and I’m 18 years old right now. I’m from Hungary. And everyone who met me in an Erasmus project either will remember me by my name or by the word ,”magic” 😁.

I have participated in 3 projects so far. Before the first one, my teachers told me about this whole Erasmus thing (as I remember).

All they had to say is “traveling” and I said – “I’M IN!!!!!!”.

Nowadays everyone wants to travel to see the world. So the next day I checked the info-pack and the project took place in Czechia, in the mountains… there was a beautiful view from the accommodation. When I arrived there, I wasn’t really nervous because I knew I’m kinda good in making new friends.

I thought we will be really different, because of the borders and the distance and the other cultures. But I realized our hearts beat together… we were all good people no matter where we came from.

Our differences like cultures, habits, languages make each and everyone of us interesting. Deep inside we are all the same in many things. Erasmus is about the people, learning about the differences and similarities among us. Erasmus is a pause button for normal life. We teach each others for things that we won’t learn anywhere else.

Erasmus is one of the best decisions in my life.

Erik’s first project was “Imperative for Humanity”, an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange by Four Links. Check the video to the left.
