In 2024, CJE strengthened its impact through three Erasmus+ youth activities in Portugal, bringing together participants from Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Lithuania and Romania. Our activities combined non-formal education, creativity and digital skills development. The youth exchange MAGA – Make Art Great Again in Peniche promoted social inclusion and youth participation by creating three murals in the local youth center. Film Frequency in Sintra focused on digital competences, video production and sound design, resulting in short films and conceptual videos made by young participants. Finally, the training course Spark in São Pedro do Sul empowered youth workers to innovate their non-formal education practices through creativity in youth work. These activities highlight CJE’s commitment to meaningful youth exchanges, artistic expression and the growth of the E29 network.

Photo Challenges

Participants set out to explore the surroundings of Sintra while taking part in a photo challenge focused on composition rules. Working in small groups, they were tasked with capturing specific types of shots — such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, and symmetry. The activity encouraged them not only to observe their environment more thoughtfully, but also to experiment with their cameras and explore their full range of possibilities.

Guerrilla Filmmaking

In this fast-paced creative challenge, participants teamed up to produce original music videos in just one day—composing soundtracks using instruments, voice, or found sounds, and filming video clips that brought their audio to life.

Drowned Silence

Cowboy Meets The Office Meets Tecno

Final Movies

For their final challenge, participants set out to create an original short film from scratch—producing every sound, from music to effects, entirely on their own without using any online libraries.
