Video Recap of our Local Sport Event called Hike In Visegrad
Hike In Visegrad, the first hungarian local sport event in the Hike Smart project took place in early April of 2025 near Visegrad. With the perfect weather for hiking, participants embarked on a 17 km journey which led them from Pilisszentlászló through Spartacus-trail and Apátkúti valley. Participants attended a preparatory meeting before the hike with the aim to educate them about the dangers of hiking and how to prepare well to avoid these.
We began our journey with a preparatory safety training a few days before the hike, where we learned about basic safety precautions and how to prepare well. After this, we discussed the trail we are going to take. The meeting lasted about 45 minutes. Then we started the journey. We have arrived to the starting location at around 9 am, and we tackled the road together with all the participants. The route itself was beginner friendly with not that big of an incline and plenty of space to maneuver around obstacles. We stopped multiple times to take in the great scenery from atop of the hill. The smile on everybody’s face was evident that the hike was a success and fortunately we didn’t have any accidents or problems.
