Video Recap of our local hiking activity in Veporske vrchy
In July 2025, a group of hiking enthusiasts began an unforgettable hiking adventure. They explored the breathtaking Veporské vrchy mountains in Slovakia. The hike was part of the Hike Smart project. The day started with perfect summer weather. Clear skies, warm sunshine, and a gentle breeze welcomed them. It was the ideal setting for an inspiring and energizing experience in nature.
Before the hike, the group joined a hands-on preparatory meeting. The session was practical and engaging. They learned how to stay safe while hiking. They also discussed smart packing and how to handle unexpected situations. The goal was to help everyone feel ready and confident. Just before starting the hike, they took part in a short safety talk. It covered key tips and reminders about responsible behavior in the mountains. This moment helped build trust and awareness within the group.
As the hike unfolded, so did the friendships. The young people shared stories and paused often to take in the incredible views. They laughed, learned from each other, and connected not only with their peers but also with the peaceful beauty of the forest around them. Moments of silence mixed with lively conversations, creating a balanced and fulfilling experience for all.
By the end of the day, the group felt refreshed, inspired, and closer — both to nature and to each other. They left the mountains with new memories and a deeper understanding of how important it is to explore the outdoors responsibly.
