Summary

This local safety and emergency training in via ferrata offers not only a physical challenge but also a mental and emotional journey, providing an escape from the modern world and daily routines.

Participants will learn the basics of safe movement on via ferratas from experienced guides. How to properly tie basic knots and how to properly use safety gear, helmets and other safety equipment. Safety will be a top priority to make our adventure fun and safe for everyone.

The core of this program is its ability to unlock new experiences, inspiring participants to embrace a more active and conscious lifestyle.

Participant Profile

  • Resident or citizen from country: Slovakia.

  • Optimal Age range: 16+ years old
  • He likes outdoor activities and likes to meet new adventures.

  • Fully available to participate throughout the duration of the whole program.

  • No prior experience is required, but a basic level of physical fitness is necessary.

  • Currently not receiving any funds from the European Union (e.g.: participating in an Erasmus exchange program within University).

Educational Videos

We have produced a series of tutorial videos explaining basic concepts of safety in via ferrata. These videos are easy to understand, breaking down important safety tips and the main things you need to know for a great via ferrata experience.

Useful information

  • Participation costs: There are no participation costs. Training are funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. However all participants are responsible for their own travel costs. To avoid last-minute cancelations, participants who are selected are required to pay a 30 € deposit to confirm their participation. The money is sent back after the activity.

  • Health & Insurance: We do not organize insurance for our participants. If they wish to have coverage, participants must arrange insurance for themselves. However, we ask all participants to bring their European Health Insurance Cards, which can be used if they need hospital care.

  • What to bring: Identification card or passport, pocket money, comfortable and enough clothes for the outdoor activity (according to the weather forecast), hiking shoes, working gloves, water bottle, rain jacket, small backpack (15-20 l).
