Summary

Spark your creativity and unlock new ways to inspire youth through innovative non-formal education!

Creativity is not a fixed trait – it’s a skill we can all tap into, explore, and strengthen. In this training course, we invite youth workers to reconnect with their creative side, whether it feels near or far. Through a mix of playful activities, reflective processes, and hands-on learning, participants will discover how creativity can become a natural and powerful part of their educational practice.

The course offers a supportive space to experiment, take risks, and rediscover the joy of inventing new ideas – without pressure or judgment. It aims to equip participants with creative tools and mindsets they can adapt to their local realities, helping them design more engaging and impactful non-formal education experiences. Along the way, there will be opportunities to co-create, exchange practices with peers, and deepen their understanding of how creativity can be nurtured daily – both as a personal habit and a professional strength.

We are all born with creativity. As children, we play, explore, and imagine freely – but as we grow, those instincts often fade. This training course is an invitation to reignite that spark and keep the creative flame burning in our lives and in our work.

Activity Schedule

  • 2nd of July: Arrival Day

This day is dedicated to traveling. We will buy the flights for all the selected participants! See more details about traveling at the end of this infopack. We are expected to arrive at the accommodation in the late afternoon or evening.

  • 3rd of July: Introductions & Team Building

A welcoming day focused on getting to know each other, sharing expectations, and understanding what each participant brings to the group. Through team building exercises, we will build trust and create a strong group dynamic to support the days ahead.

  • 4-6th of July: Exploring Creativity

These three days will be the core of the training, where participants will explore creativity not as a talent, but as a mindset that can be nurtured and applied. Through non-formal education methods, they will engage in hands-on activities that promote experimentation, invention, and playful thinking. The focus will be on creating – whether it’s concepts, tools, or experiences – while breaking away from conventional patterns. Participants will be encouraged to take creative risks, challenge assumptions, and discover new ways of learning and working with young people.

  • 7th of July: Closure & Youthpass Ceremony

We will wrap up the training with a collective reflection on what we’ve learned and experienced. Participants will receive their Youthpass certificates and take part in planning local dissemination activities to share the outcomes of this journey with their communities.

  • 8th July: Departure Day

This day is dedicated to traveling back home.

The group will be accommodated at HI São Pedro do Sul – Pousada de Juventude. Participants will stay in shared twin rooms, divided by gender. The accommodation includes exclusive access to a conference room, which will be used for some of the training activities. Travel Plan

  • The official travel days will be the 2nd and the 8th of July.

  • The main travel tickets will be purchased and arranged by our organization. These include flight tickets and/ or bus tickets to the accommodation city, but exclude local and urban transportation and shuttle buses to the airports.

  • Once the participant selection is finished and everyone is confirmed, the project coordinators will finalize the travel itinerary and book the tickets for each national group.

  • Each country will have a maximum of two meeting points, where participants will gather to begin their journey. Participants should arrange their own travel to the meetings points.

  • Please note that participants may not always depart from their nearest airport. Some travel routes might also include layovers or connecting flights, depending on availability and ticket prices.

  • In some cases, it might be needed for participants to travel one day earlier or return one day later, namely if there are no viable flight connections on the same day, or if participants live in more remote areas. Participants with duties that make them unavailable on the 1st or on the 9th of July must mention it in their applications.

  • For flights, we are funding only the most basic option, which includes one small backpack to be carried under the seat. If you wish, you can add priority or cargo luggage to your reservation, but at your own cost. However, we recommend that our participants pack efficiently and travel lightly.

  • All important info regarding travel and other topics will be available on a dedicated Discord channel of the activity, but also via e-mail.

  • Portuguese participants will get bus tickets either to São Pedro do Sul or to Viseu. Shared car transportation might be also possible.
