Our hike will take you through forests, rocky trails, and hidden geological wonders, including the Rudice karst collapse and many other fascinating natural features along the way. Experience the beauty of South Moravia while hiking with a group of people who share your curiosity and love for exploration.

Along the journey, we’ll focus not only on connecting with nature but also on learning about hiking safety and the unique challenges of moving through karst terrain. To keep things lively, the hike will include fun group activities and games, giving you plenty of opportunities to laugh, share stories, and enjoy the outdoors together.

Location and travel informations

Hike starts on the bus stop Ostrov u Macochy, Balcarka at 10:00

You can travel from Brno to the meeting point by train & bus:

  • Train from Brno to Blansko 9:00
  • Bus from Blansko to Ostrov u Macochy, Balcarka at 9:40

Hike ends in Blansko, train station at aproxymetly 16:00

You can travel back to Brno by train:

  • Trains back  to Brno 15:31, 16:01, 16:31, 16:42, 17:01

You can buy IDS JMK train and bus tickets on Poseidon app.

Route is 17,5 km long with 252 m elevation, you can check the map!

Useful information

  • Participation costs: There are no participation costs. However all participants are responsible for their own travel.

  • Meeting point: We can meet on three different spots according to your travel plan: Brno-hlavní nádraží at 8:45, Blansko-autobusová stanice at 9:30 or at starting point Ostrov u Macochy, Balcarka bus stop at 10:00.

  • What to bring: Your ID or passport, Health Insurance Card, pocket money, proper clothes, rain jacket, large water bottle or camel-bag and some food, comfy small bagback 15-20 l, basic first aid kit.
