Our Project

From June 7th to 16th, 2024, the Eco-Action youth exchange brought 47 young participants from five European countries to Labanoras, Lithuania, to tackle pressing environmental issues. Set in the picturesque Aukštaitija National Park, the program aimed to merge environmental protection with active citizenship. Participants from Lithuania, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Portugal were immersed in activities that deepened their understanding of waste management, recycling, and sustainable living, all while fostering teamwork and innovation.

Throughout this youth exchange, participants engaged in meaningful activities that emphasized both practical solutions and community engagement. They crafted products and toys from recycled materials, demonstrating hands-on ways to reduce waste. Thought-provoking debates allowed participants to exchange ideas on environmental topics, sharing possible solutions to pressing issues. A particularly impactful activity involved creating fictional companies focused on solving environmental problems, with teams developing eco-friendly prototypes and presenting them in a Shark Tank-style session.

Additionally, participants produced promotional content, including videos and social media posts, to raise awareness in their communities about the urgency of environmental action and to advocate for sustainable alternatives. The experience also included a hike through the national park, where participants collected trash, reinforcing their commitment to eco-citizenship. These activities not only equipped participants with practical knowledge but also inspired them to promote green practices within their local communities.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved in impactful projects. These experiences allow you to contribute to meaningful causes, connect with people from diverse cultures, and build lasting friendships. Join us in creating a more united world!
