Join us for an adventurous hike on a scenic route in the Jizera Mountains with the focus being on safe hiking. Disconnect from your routine and reconnect with nature! Go on a hike with a guide and partake in a fun and safe adventure that brings like-minded people together. Not only will you experience beautiful scenery, including stunning vistas, unique rock formations, and invigorating waterfalls, but you’ll also get to experience a social activity where you can meet new friends and build real relationships.

Discover the beauty of the Jizera Mountains, starting and ending in the peaceful village of Hejnice. This area is known for its picturesque paths and serene landscapes, providing an ideal backdrop for adventure and community. Wandering through this charming landscape is a refreshing escape, offering some of the most rewarding views in the region.

The core of this program is to promote hiking safety as the first priority – making sure participants know how to stay safe on the trails, pack properly, and avoid risks. Beyond safety, the project encourages participants to embrace a more active and conscious lifestyle by unlocking new experiences, while also looking out for each other and themselves in a hiking environment. Therefore, participants will attend a brief preparatory safety session to ensure everyone comes prepared and knows how to hike responsibly.

Participant Profile

  • Likes outdoor activities and seeks new adventures.

  • Fully available to participate throughout the duration of the whole program.

  • No prior experience is required, but a basic level of physical fitness is necessary.

Location

  • The hike’s route will take us from Hejnice through multiple view points and waterfall Cerny potok and then we’ll come back to Hejnice.

  • Meeting is at 10:30 AM at the train station Hejnice 

  • Specifics: planned length is 16,4km long, starting from the village Hejnice ending there too. Checkout the Map!

Educational Videos

We have produced a series of tutorial videos explaining the basic concepts of safety in hiking. These videos are easy to understand and break down important safety tips and the main things you need to know for a great hiking experience.

Useful information

  • Participation costs: There are no participation costs. However all participants are responsible for their own travel.

  • Health & Insurance: We do not organize insurance for our participants. If they wish to have coverage, participants must arrange insurance for themselves. However, we ask all participants to bring their European Health Insurance Cards, which can be used if they need hospital care.

  • What to bring: Identification card or passport, pocket money, comfortable and proper clothes (according to the weather forecast), hiking shoes,water bottle, rain jacket, small backpack (15-20 l).
