In a world where diversity should be celebrated and inclusivity embraced, the “Equal Voices, Equal Choices” youth exchange offers a unique opportunity to foster awareness and understanding of social inclusion in a fun and memorable way. This program is designed to inspire young people to recognize the strength in diversity and cultivate a mindset of acceptance, respect, and collaboration. Together, we will create a supportive space where everyone’s opinions and knowledge contribute to building a deeper understanding of inclusivity. Through engaging workshops and interactive projects, participants will learn to embrace their uniqueness while connecting with peers from different cultures, strengthening friendships that transcend borders.

Beyond the personal growth this exchange offers, participants will also gain tools to bring the values of inclusion and diversity into their communities. What to Expect

Participant Profile

  • Residents or citizens from any of these countries: Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania and Slovakia.

  • Optimal age range: 16+

  • Available to attend the whole duration of the program and participate in all the sessions.

  • Shows enthusiasm or curiosity for the inclusion and diversity and motivated learn about sustainable life choices and mental health, and meet people from different cultures.

  • Open-minded and willing to help.
  • Expresses a willingness to disseminate the training and its results to other groups of young people.

  • Currently not receiving any funds from the European Union (e.g.: participating in an Erasmus exchange program within University).

Location and Venue

We will be staying at Ceglédfürdő Student Camp, a tranquil, forest-surrounded haven that blends comfort, nature, and a variety of exciting activities. Just 65 km from Budapest, this charming spot is ideal for group events. Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms, housing 4-6 individuals, with room assignments based on international diversity and separated by gender.

Each participant will be served three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Participants’ dietary preferences should be provided during the application process, to ensure meals are prepared accordingly.

After an inspiring day, enjoy a range of sports facilities—football, volleyball, badminton—or gather around a cozy campfire for a truly memorable experience. This is the perfect place to relax, connect, and make lasting memories!

Activity Schedule

  • 3rd of March: Arrvial Day

    This day is dedicated to traveling. We will buy the travel tickets for all the selected participants! See more details about the traveling at the end of this infopack. We are expected to arrive at the accommodation in the evening.

  • 4-5th of March: Team Building and Exploration

    Participants will organize interactive activities and play topic-related games to build connections and create a friendly, cooperative atmosphere. Through engaging workshops and games, we will explore the themes of inclusion and diversity in depth. Project committees such as Secret Friend, Gossip Box, Recap Teams, and Intercultural Evenings will also be established to enhance collaboration and ensure a vibrant exchange experience.

  • 6th of March: Role-Playing and Simulations

    The day will focus on exploring the topic of inclusion and diversity using the method of role-playing and simulations to step into diverse perspectives, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges others face. Through interactive problem-solving, participants will deepen their empathy, gain insights into diverse perspectives, and develop practical solutions to drive positive change in their communities.

  • 7th of March: Group Art Projects

    Explore diversity, inclusion, and belonging through visual art forms like murals, posters, or collages. Whether creating together as a group or expressing ideas individually, this session encourages creativity, collaboration, and meaningful reflection on different identities, offering a powerful way to communicate inclusivity.ere

  • 8th of March: Interactive Debates

    Engage in lively debates on hot topics related to inclusion and diversity. This day will sparks critical thinking, encourages respectful banter, and opens new perspectives on key issues—all while having fun and learning to appreciate different viewpoints!

  • 9th of March: Inclusive Leadership Exercises

    Collaborate to solve challenges while promoting inclusivity by organizing group events or designing projects that engage individuals from diverse backgrounds. These activities enhance leadership skills, emphasizing collaboration, empathy, and ensuring

  • 10th of March: Film Screening and Discussion

    Grab your popcorn and get ready for a thought-provoking movie night! We’ll be watching a documentary or film that tackles important topics like diversity, inclusion, and discrimination—whether it’s racism, gender equality, or disability rights. After the screening, we’ll dive into a lively group discussion, sharing thoughts, reactions, and insights. It’s the perfect way to spark meaningful conversations, promote empathy, and maybe even laugh a little as we learn through the power of storytelling. Lights, camera, empathy!

  • 11th of March: Activity Day in the Nearby Town

    On this day, you will have the opportunity to visit the nearby town and engage with the local community. You will participate in a series of interactive challenges designed to foster collaboration and cultural exchange. These activities will encourage you to work together with your peers while interacting with the locals, learning about their daily lives, and gaining insight into their traditions and culture. This day offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the local environment, build connections, and enhance your understanding of the community.

  • 12th of March: Mobility Closure

    We will reflect on our experiences, assess the impact of the program, and plan future dissemination activities. This day will also be dedicated to saying our goodbyes, celebrating the friendships and memories created, and distributing Youthpass certificates during a closing ceremony to mark the end of this experience.
  • 13th of March: Departure Day

    This day is dedicated to traveling. We are expected to depart from the accommodation and head to Budapest in the morning.

Travel

    • All flight, train, and bus tickets for this activity will be purchased and organized by our organization.
    • For flights, the fare includes only the most basic option, which permits one small backpack to be carried under the seat. Please note that there are no guarantees that participants from Portugal will travel from the nearest airport. Those traveling from Portugal may depart together from Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon.
    • The official travel dates for this activity are March 3rd and March 13th. However, participants from certain, further locations, may need to begin their journey a day earlier or return a day later due to travel logistics. If you foresee any scheduling conflicts on March 2nd or March 14th, please let us know in your application.
    • Each country will have up to two main designated sending cities, where participants will gather to begin their journey. Participants can arrange their own travel to the meeting points in these cities. If anyone faces difficulties to reach the meeting points on their own means, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we will work together to find a solution. Example A: For Hungary, the sending city is Budapest, meaning participants from Debrecen must arrange and cover their own travel to Budapest. Example B: For Czechia, the sending city is Brno, so the Czech group will begin their travels from there. Participants from other cities, like Ostrava, must independently travel to Brno or Prague at their own expense.
    • Please note that tickets for local transportation within a city (e.g., metro or shuttle bus tickets to the airport or train station) will need to be arranged by participants.

    • Once all participants are selected and confirm their participation, the project coordinators will work with the national group leaders to develop a final travel itinerary for each group. These itineraries will be communicated via Discord, and the travel tickets will be shared via Email and Discord. All tickets will be purchased by our organization.

  • All participants will gather in Budapest, from where a private bus will take them to the accommodation in CeglĂ©dfĂĽrdĹ‘.
  • For the Lithuanian group every participant has to arrange their own travel to either Kaunas or Marijampole. There are 2 travel lines available:

    • from Kaunas to Budapest by bus
    • from Marijampole to Budapest by bus

     

    Important: participants must depart a day before in the evening by Flixbus, which will depart from Kaunas and stops at Marijampole, so the whole group can travel together. Also, at the end of the activity, Lithuanian participants will get home a day later.

     

  • The Hungarian group will travel to Budapest by train and then they will depart to the accommodation by the private bus with the other national groups.

  • The Romanian group will have to depart from Bucharest to Budapest by train, with a stop at Ploiesti. They have to depart a day earlier, in the afternoon, and most likely get home a day later.
  • For the Czech group they will depart from Prague by train. The train stops in Brno where the other group joins them, and they travel together to Budapest.
  • From Slovakia those who are students can travel for free and they will arrange their own travels to the sending cities, to Bratislava and Kosice, and they will travel from there to Budapest either by train or bus

  • For the Portugal group they will depart by plane from Lisbon, from Humberto Delgado Airport to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, and they most likely get home a day later.

Useful information

  • Participation costs: There are no participation costs. Travel, accommodation, and food are co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. However, to avoid last-minute cancelations, participants who are selected will need to pay a 50€ deposit to confirm their participation. This is to avoid last-minute cancelations and to cover possible damages caused by the participants on the accommodation. The money is sent back after the activity.

  • Health & Insurance: We will arrange travel insurance for all participants. Moreover, all participants must bring their European Health Insurance Cards, which can be used for hospital care if needed. If you do not have this card yet, you can easily make one for free.

  • What to bring: Identification card or passport, towel, Hungarian Forint as pocket money to buy personal items (we recommend to bring cash since there might not be an ATM near the venue), laptop (if possible), national food or a typical vest for the gastro and cultural nights, speaker, board games, comfortable and enough clothes for the days of the activity and for outdoor activities as well.
